THE CANDY COTTAGE OF CHRISTMAS MAGIC, discovered many, many years ago nestled inside the trunk of a Christmas Tree, has a sweet and storied mythology. Its sole purpose is to help guests find their own Christmas magic, unique to each person’s particular taste.

Over the years, the cottage has been flooded with magical sugar pouring in at its seams; the only way to save the cottage from decay is for the cottage workers to take the sugar, magically turn it into edible candy, and give it to all who enter. Each holiday season, people travel far and wide to delight in the cottage’s magic, and they leave feeling the holiday spirit at its sweetest, eager to share their festive finds and feelings with everyone they meet.

When the sun goes down and the Christmas lights turn up, the Candy Cottage of Christmas of Magic invites the fully-grown kids-at-heart to experience its 12 NIGHTS OF CHRISTMAS for a dozen delectable nights this December.

From December 11th through the 23rd, adults 21+ can eat, drink, and be merry in a holiday haven of endless sweets and seasonal surprises, featuring a flight of Christmas cocktails sure to send spirits soaring and pop songs perfectly curated for rockin’ around the Christmas tree…

📅 Schedule: Weekdays: 10.00am - 7.00pm

Sunday - Saturday: 10:00am – 8:00pm
⏳ Duration: The entire sugary fantasy takes about 45 minutes. The scavenger hunt starts inside The Candy Cottage for your first taste of the magical candy, where you receive your map that takes you on a journey outdoors around the The Rockefeller Center campus. Once you've completed your hunt you will come back to The Cottage for another magical treat!

THE EXPERIENCE

What can I expect from our visit to THE CANDY COTTAGE OF CHRISTMAS MAGIC?

Joy and lots of candy! The experience will start and end in the Candy Cottage. Please dress warmly, as the scavenger hunt, which is about half of the experience, will mostly take place outside.

Where is the experience located?

The experience takes place in the magical cottage at 610 5th Avenue, in the Channel Gardens of Rockefeller Center between 49th and 50th Streets, and all around Rockefeller Center campus.

Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor location?

The experience has both indoor and outdoor elements, but please dress warmly for the scavenger hunt, which mostly takes place outside and is about half of the experience.

How long does the experience last?

It’s variable, but the full experience takes about 45 mins.

Will there be strobe lights?

No.

Will food and beverage be available for sale?

There will not be beverages available, but in addition to the abundance of candy that comes with the experience, there will be additional candy for sale!

Will merchandise be available for purchase onsite?

Yes! There will be a variety of sweet merchandise available for purchase onsite.

Will there be chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience?

There will be minimal seating available inside the experience.

Will restrooms be available onsite?

No, there will be no restrooms onsite, however restrooms are available within Rockefeller Center.

Is it COVID safe and secure?

At the Candy Cottage of Christmas Magic, the safety of our guests and team members is of the utmost importance. As such, we comply with all local and state health regulations.

Should I wear a mask?

Masks are optional for guests.

What should I bring?

Your ticket, comfortable shoes, and a phone as well as warm clothes for the scavenger hunt! No outside food or drink will be permitted.

Will there be photo opps?

Yes! There will be multiple magical photo opportunities throughout the experience.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

We invite guests of all ages to enjoy THE CANDY COTTAGE OF CHRISTMAS MAGIC! Adults and children alike will find the experience wondrous and enchanting.

Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?

Yes, please be prompt and arrive a few minutes before your scheduled entry time.

What happens if I arrive late?

We kindly request that guests arrive as close to their ticketed time as possible. Early or late admittance cannot be guaranteed.

Can I bring a stroller? Is there stroller parking available?

There is limited parking available for strollers and scooters outside of THE CANDY COTTAGE OF CHRISTMAS MAGIC. Please refrain from bringing oversized bags, backpacks, diaper bags, carriers or strollers inside the Cottage.

Can I take pictures and videos?

Of course! Capturing the magical memories of THE CANDY COTTAGE OF CHRISTMAS MAGIC is a must. Please tag us at @magicalchristmascottage #candycottageNYC

Are wheelchairs available to rent?

There will not be wheelchairs or scooters available to rent.

Can I bring animals?

Given that it’s an edible experience, we regret to inform you that only service animals are welcomed.

Is the venue ADA compliant?

Yes, the experience is ADA compliant.

Is there parking nearby? Do I need to pay for parking?

Public transportation is always recommended to access Rockefeller Center, however select street parking may be available nearby. In addition, there are many parking lots around Rockefeller Center that offer paid parking options.

Is parental supervision required?

Yes, we request all guests under 14 to be accompanied through the experience by a parent or legal guardian.

What if adverse weather or similar emergencies prevent me from attending?

THE CANDY COTTAGE OF CHRISTMAS MAGIC is working closely with local authorities in response to any sudden needs to close operations. In the event of a site closure, our team will make every attempt possible to contact you so you can plan accordingly. Please ensure your contact information on your ticket is up to date for expedited communication.

How will Lost and Found be handled? Should we go back to the experience? Who should be contacted about a lost item?

Please check with the team first for any lost items at questions@magicalcandycottage.com. Guests may not be able to access the experience unless onsite staff allows it.

Is there Coat Check available?

No Coat Check will be available.

Can I bring professional equipment or have private photo shoots during the experience?

Large professional equipment (photo or video) is prohibited. For general admission guests, we do not allow private photo shoots. For private space rental, media or influencer requests, please contact questions@magicalcandycottage.com.

Is there a dress code?

Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. Given the chill of the holiday season in New York City, and about half of the experience is outdoors, we recommend wearing warm clothing including outerwear during your experience.

Is there a bag policy?

Regular sized bags and purses are welcome, but oversized bags are not permitted inside The Candy Cottage of Christmas Magic. All bags are subject to search upon entry. Any bags left unattended inside the experience will be removed by management.

Groups and Private events

We’d love to host your group event at The Candy Cottage of Christmas Magic this holiday season! A few magical options are available:

Entrance Buyout Full buyout of one entrance slot, ie. private entrance for up to 25 of your guests only. (Return experience may be shared with other patrons.)

Full Buyout Full buyout of an entire hour. Candy Cottage employees spend more time making your event extra special for a completely private event. Both pre & post scavenger hunt are exclusively open to your party. Can include extra candy or merchandise.

After Hours Buyout If you are interested in a buyout after normal store hours please be in touch to discuss options.
